Story
Chapter 1: Dust and Neon
In 2025, the sky over New Babylon was the color of old bruises — purple, gray, and sickly yellow from the smog that never lifted. Neon signs flickered like broken promises, and the streets reeked of synthetic sweat and hot circuitry.
Sins weren’t just committed here. They were branded, sold, and uploaded.
They called them the "Seven," a syndicate of elite digital criminals, each embodying one of the classical sins — only twisted for this new world. Wrath ran a black-market cybernetics ring. Greed? He bought senators with NFTs backed by fake biotech startups. Lust had an entire district coded into a VR loop of dopamine-charged fantasies. And Pride? She ran the city’s information — every secret whispered into her ears by drones the size of flies.
Nobody knew who the others were. Or if they even existed.
Except me. I used to be one of them.
They called me Envy.
But I’ve been off the grid for six years, hiding in the cracks, letting the world rot on its own. Until this morning — when a message burned itself into my retinas.
“They found her. She’s alive. And she remembers everything.”
Her. The only person I ever loved — and the only person who could destroy us all.
