Bruno was a doctor until he lost his licence. He now stitches wounds and cares for patients who prefer to stay outside the system. When lawyer Kreber approaches Bruno seeking treatment for a criminal suffering from leukemia, his ambition is awakens. But his decision to take on the treatment doesn't only put him between frontlines of organised crime, but also on opposite sides to his sister's husband, an adversary of Bruno's new patient. As a result, Bruno becomes more and more involved in the works of rival gangsters, which not particularly helpful to his patients' recovery ...
