Brent Barrymore (Lou Diamond Phillips) is not a happy director. Every night for the past three weeks he's had to watch an awful play; his awful play, along with a small audience of local patrons in an old theater you've never heard of. Adding insult to injury, he's convinced that his wife and production manager, Nadine, is having an affair with his idiot leading man, Marcus. Fortunately for Brent, that old theater you've never heard of, employs a Janitor (Malcolm MacDowell) who's been mopping the stage for a very long time; long enough to know a dark secret of the past that may help to rid Brent of his current troubles. That is, so long as Brent is willing to get some blood on his hands.
